Video - DaVinci Resolve - first attempt to install on linux

They say to do this, so I do.
./DaVinci_Resolve_18.6.6_Linux.run -i
Hold on though. There are some things you need to do first (as I discovered after my first attempt). Skip right to the "second attempt" link below unless you are just curious. They said to use "sudo" to install, then later scold me for installing as root. It wants me to install these:
dnf install apr apr-util
Now the installer runs. It tells me that the free version will limit project mastering and output to "Ultra HD" and uses only a single GPU. For 4K I will need to pay for Studio. 32G of ram is recommended, as well as a GPU with at least 2G of VRAM. The GPU should also support OpenCL 1.2 or CUDA 1.1

They talk about "Blackmagic Design Desktop Video software" to monitor any of their video hardware I might have. I presume I will need this if I buy their speed editor.

Away it goes. It asks twice for the root password, with some funny business the second time.

I find files in /opt/resolve. I try running resolve/bin/resolve and get:

./resolve: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypt.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
This sort of makes sense as I only see /usr/lib64/libcrypt.so.2 on my system.

My video card

According to my records it is:
MSI Graphics Card NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 1030 2GHD4 LP OC.
So, it has the minimal 2G of VRAM. Searching, people say it will be adequate, but not wonderful with DaVinci Resolve. It lacks Nvidia’s NENC for H.264, which will cause a hit. A suggestion is to upgrade to at least a 1050Ti (which has 4G of VRAM). It should also have the H.264 encoder. Note that the 1050ti is circa 2016, but still holds its price around $250.
