Fedora installs and upgrades

I have been running Fedora since before it was Fedora and it was "Red Hat". I am lazy and am not into the "my distro is better than yours" sort of stuff. I just want to get work done and the distro to stay out of my way and be easy to maintain. That being said, every once in a while the Fedora group does something stupid and obnoxious and I feel urges to try something else. Usual Debian or some flavor thereof (but probably not Ubuntu) crosses my mind.

The following is a list of many of the installs and upgrades that I have been involved with over the years. The list is (or ought to be) in reverse chronological order. The discussions tend to highlight unexpected problems, and have often been written as I am frustrated in the midst of solving some tricky problem, so bear that in mind.
