Home computer

I maintain two computers at home. The main machine runs Fedora linux and has a giant monitor. The other machine runs Windows 10 for the sole purpose of supporing photography and running Adobe lightroom and photoshop.

The hardware in both machines is probably 10 years old. Intel i7 machines. But they do just fine. Both now have Nvidia GeForce 1030 cards. No fans, no noise. They work fine and support 4K monitors. I do not play games and probably never will.

Computer hardware is always a moving target, and one that I don't make any serious effort to follow closely. I pop my head up now and then and try to take stock of things when I get in the mood to upgrade my hardware, or help someone else do so.

Inspiration

This is more along the lines of how to set up a home workspace.
