I have for many years had 2 computers. My primary machine runs Fedora linux on x86 desktop hardware. The other machine ran Windows on similar hardware. I had the second machine simply to run Adobe software for photography, lightroom and photoshop.
As time went on, Windows became increasingly obnoxious, culminating in the purchase of a Mac Mini to replace the windows machine and of course to replace windows itself.
