Antminer S9 board - Vivado -- future work

I asked the question once whether it was possible to work in Vivado without dealing with a block model at all. It definitely is, but I have yet to give this a try.

It is even possible to work with Vivado without Vivado, i.e. by just using tcl commands. This might peel away a layer and get me working with details that I ought to learn and master.

This is called "non-project" mode. There is a lot of information in UG895.

I did a search "can i use vivado without a block model" and learned a lot. Working in this, you work entirely in HDL.

UG892 has a whole section "using non-project mode". This is called "design flows overview". 96 pages.
