Let's learn USB! -- CDC ACM -- Oh my?
I have a growing curiousity about just what the specifications
are for a CDC ACM device in the USB world.
The "papoon" code I have been working with enumerates itself
as a CDC ACM device. Here are some questions:
- Does an ACM device limit iself to single character transfers?
- Does an ACM device imply certain specific endpoint configurations?
I discovered in my "56 bug" experiment, that two character transfers simply
fail. And this is not a bug in my driver. Is it a bug in picocom?
Is it a bug in the linux ACM driver? Or is it a limitation of the ACM protocol?
