STM32H747I-DISCO "Discovery kit with STM32H747XI MCU" -- Power-Link

There are details on this in the user manual.
See section 5.2 on pages 14-18.
There are jumpers on the board that can be used for various power options.

I have left the jumpers as shipped to me (only the STIk jumper in place) and am using the ST-Link cable to power the board.

I am somewhat surprised, if not shocked, that I can power the board via a micro-USB cable from a plain old USB port. The user manual tells me that the ST-link cable will first pull 100 mA to power just the ST-link, then if given permission, it will pull 300 mA and power the entire board.

It works. I plug it in and see the green LD8 LED on the bottom of the board turn on. This indicates that the entire board is powered. The multicolor LED on top of the board also lights up red.

I am surprised that this entire board can run, drawing only 300 mA.
