Canon R5 - the G-box button
The official name is apparently the "quick control button" and
what looks to me like a G is actually a Q.
You push this and you have about 6 seconds to fool around.
You use the big wheel on the back to select what you want to fool
around with. You have by my count, 10 choices, and they are shown
to you along the left and right sides of the screen.
Once you select the thing you want to change, you use either wheel on top
of the camera to change it.
- AF method (I like spot)
- AF operation (one-shot or servo)
- image quality (raw or ...)
- drive mode (single or 2sec/remote)
- metering mode (evaluative, partial, spot, center weighted)
- flicker detection on/off
- white balance
- picture style
- auto lighting optimizer
- cropping / aspect ratio
