You can entirely disable the rear LCD.
Go to menu, gear, 3, and select finder/monitor.
You can pick auto/viewfinder/monitor.
Apparently other Sony cameras allow you to set up a single
button to toggle between the viewfinder and monitor, but so
far not the Sony A6000, unless they add it in a firmware upgrade.
