Diamine - Writers Blood Writers Blood is a dark red/ burgundy. I'm curious to see how it compares to the Young Wine ink that I also got. mountainofink.com/diamine-writers-blood ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Diamine - Red Dragon This ink is a brighter but still dark red. Closer to a classic red than Writers Blood though. mountainofink.com/diamine-red-dragon ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leonardo - Rosso Passione Newish Italian pen/ink company. I feel this one is maybe the most classic red to my mind. Still a rich red and what I imagine a blood red would look like. leonardo-officina-italiana-red-passion-ink-review ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pennonia - Mustvörös 'Young Wine' Young Wine looks to be a pale, light burgundy. Quite similar to Writers Blood. This is the Hungarian ink made by a guy who would previously mix existing inks to create new colors and then decided to start up his own company. mountainofink.com/pennonia ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sailor - Manyo Yu This was the first ink I added to my shopping cart. It's part of Sailor's 5th anniversary Manyo series. It's a dark red/orange. I'll probably ink up a classic red first then ink this up. ink-review-sailor-manyo-anniversary-set/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- KWZ - Walk over Vistula As mentioned on the phone, I figured I needed an ink that wasn't a red or an orange. I debated on a green but settled on a blue. I was checking on the inks carried by the Dutch website I was shopping on and saw KWZ. Looking them up its a Polish ink company with interesting options. I was initially going to choose their ink "Baltic Memories" purely because it was a blue and I liked the name. But comparing Walk over Vistula to Baltic Memories I liked the slightly lighter tone and comments on it more. mountainofink.com/kwz-walk-over-vistula
