Improving your handwriting

Look at this from a label on a micromount mineral specimen:

Along with fussing and fooling with fountain pens, why not work on improving your handwriting? You can go as far with this as you want, possibly getting into calligraphy, stub nibs, flex nibs, and all that.

Be sure you enjoy the process, don't make this a chore. 

- Take a calligraphy class, do calligraphy drills
- Wear reading glasses
- Listen to music (focus)
- Know your letters, change your letters
- Learn how to connect letters
- Slow down - take your time
- Practice - the only way to get better at anything
- Change it up.
Practice for 20 minutes each day.

Do searches on "calligraphy with a fountain pen" -- there is a lot out there.

If I did want to give calligraphy a go with a stub nib, one option would be an Asvine V126 with 1.1mm stub nib. This pen is a Vac filler, $30 on Amazon. Stand by for more about this.

Find good handwriting to imitate. Good paper is a commonly overlooked aspect.
