Python - specutils
We are working with Raman spectra, but at some point,
spectra are spectra.
Working with spectra is the bread and butter of much
observational astronomy, and indeed a package exists
for working with spectra:
It is described as an "Astropy package for astronomy" which suggests that it
has some relation to the astropy package.
It seems to include plotting utilities (somewhat to my surprise) in some
uncertain relationship to matplotlib.
There seems to be a well established way of thinking about what I would call "peaks",
but what the astronomers seem to like to call "lines".
