The machine I used to work on at the University of Arizona was the prior model, the XR. There is now a new machine, the DXR-2 and someday there will probably be a DXR-4.
These machines all require a dedicated Windows computer that runs their software. The old XR had some kind of proprietary interface card (as far as I know). The DXR connects to the Windows computer with a single USB cable.
The XR had two different lasers (785 and 532) built in, and you could switch between them from a software menu. The DXR has hot swappable laser "modules" that connect to the side of the machine.
