Zeiss Stereo Microscopes

I just purchased a Zeiss Stemi 2000 C at an auction for $357. They often sell for as much as $2000, so this was probably a good deal. I carefully checked the scope to ensure that both eyes could see the same thing (i.e. that the scope was not out of alignment as so many are).

This microscope is a zoom from 6.5 to 50 with the 10x eyepieces. It is a greenough design, not CMO. I am told it is a redesign of another Zeiss model with more plastic than the older scope.

My unit has 10x/23 eyepieces and will give a field of 35.4mm at 6.5x and 4.6mm at 50x. Apparently 16x/16 and 25x/10 eyepieces are available. The "C" in the model name indicates that it has a camera port.
