I read that 1.1 percent of Apples revenue comes from desktop machines (iMac, mini, studio).
The Mac segment (laptops and desktops together) is about 8 percent. So, be glad all those laptops are running MacOS and keeping Apple interested in keeping that game going.
To keep this in perspective, Apples total revenue is 416 billion. So 1 percent is still 4 billion dollars, which is nothing to just toss away. 8 percent is 33 billion, and the same argument applies.
So what is the 92 percent? What can it be other than phones? Well phones are "only" 50 percent -- so what is the missing 42 percent? I see services listed as 25 percent and iPad as 7 percent. There are also wearables (the watch) and home gadgets.
