April 30, 2018 There is no trail down Palisade Canyon. To descend Palisade Canyon top to bottom is a serious canyoneering enterprise involving ropes and big rappels. There is a Palisade Trail, which mostly goes down the ridge between Palisade and Pine Canyon, even dropping into Pine Canyon.

It is possible to do a loop down Spencer Canyon and up Palisade (or vice-versa) without getting involved in any technical canyoneering.

See the book by Todd Martin. This is not to be trifled with. Going top to bottom as a complete tour might be more than a person could do in a day unless they were strong, fast, and in shape, and maybe not even then.
