Cowboy Tents

I became aware of these when watching dutch oven cooking videos by Kent Rollins. Watch this video to get an idea: These are heavy canvas tents that you need to haul somewhere and set up. They are typically teepees, but with a square floor (9x9 or 10x10 foot). I often see them rigged with two poles on the outside pulling up the center peak. These are stabilized by the floor stakeout. Typical weight is 40-50 pounds (with a floor).

Their site does not show prices, you need to ask for a quote. I'm not going to bother them unless I get quite serious.

Ellis Canvas in Durango, Colorado makes very expensive tents of this sort. Their 8x8 "Prairie tent" sells for 1695 and the 10x10 version is 1895.

Sheridan Tent and Awning (in Sheridan, Wyoming) sells a Cowboy range tent and teepee. Their 9x9 tent with 12 oz canvas sells for $819

Big Bend Saddlery in Alpine, Texas offers a 9.5x9.5 Range Tipi for $1522.50 The tent has a vinyl floor and it looks like they make them when they are ordered, so there will be a wait.
