As a bit of a surprise, the Zedboard has a full sized SD card slot, not a micro-SD (TF) slot. This may well be more sturdy and robust.

Based on the instructions above (dated 2013) I visit the linaro site, but the exact URLs they describe are gone (not too surprising after 10 years).
