Salae Logic Analyzers

Mine is a Salae clone, labeled "24 Mhz, 8 Ch". Looking on AliExpress, what I have is about a $10 item these days.

Peeking inside I see 3 big chips.

The heart of this is a Cypress FPGA (now Infineon). But of course this silicon is almost certainly made in China.

I dig out a mini-USB (not micro!) and plug it in. Both LED come on, and my linux system sees:

new high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-pci
New USB device found, idVendor=0925, idProduct=3881, bcdDevice= 0.01
New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0
It is kind of nice that it uses a mini-USB since I have a bunch of those cables laying around that I rarely find a use for.
