Big 7 segment display from Adafruit

I bought the display years ago (for $7) and then in May of 2026 I bought the i2c "backpack" board (for $10).

The backpack is based on a Holtek HT16K33 chip.

They say the backpack now has (mine does) a 3.3 to 5v boost converter which makes the LED nice and bright with only a 3.3 volt supply.
