Microsoft Windows

This page was begun in March of 2008 when I decided to bite the bullet and begin doing some windows software development. I am working with Windows XP and Visual Studio 2005. As someone almost totally new to the windows world (but highly experienced in other computer contexts), I may have a unique perspective to offer.

I am by no stretch of the imagination a windows software person or developer. For at least the last twenty years I have been exclusively a linux/unix user and developer. A lot could be said here, that would mostly be of a highly critical nature, but that is not the purpose of these pages. What I want to do is collect links and notes that will aid me in working with windows and developing software that will be of use to both windows users and the open source community.
