Using the L298 motor driver chip
The L298 chip from ST Microelectronics is a nice chip for
driving stepper motors (and DC motors). The "N" suffix
indicates the 15 pin multiwatt package (which I have).
It can handle up to 46 volts and up to 4 amps
A companion chip, the L297 is a stepper motor logic chip.
