Here at the MMT observatory, we have found it useful to make our own
additions to the customary fedora/gnome menus. This short note documents
how we do this.
We put our additions in the directory /etc/xdg/menus/applications-merged
This sets up a whole hierarchy of stuff, but something else figures out what
processes to run. It may be /mmt/admin/desktop has the good.
