This online help for 3BM 2 provides instructions for using 3BM 2 to configure and maintain your 3ware 9000 series controller.
The information included here is a subset of information available in the 3ware Serial ATA RAID Controller User Guide. A PDF of the complete user guide is available from http://www.3ware.com/support/userdocs.asp.
Tips for Using the Online Help
- You can use the Table of Contents (TOC) and Index to help locate the information you need. Links are provided at the top of each page.
- If you are a new user of 3DM, general information about working with 3DM is available under:
- Information about specific 3DM pages is provided under 3DM 2 Reference. When you have a question about something you see on the screen, these topics are a good place to start.

Conventions
The following conventions are used throughout the online help:
- 3DM and 3DM 2 both refer to the 3ware Disk Manager, version 2.
- Current controller is used to refer to the controller which is currently selected in the drop-down list at the top of the 3DM page.
- Unit refers to one or more disks configured through 3ware to be treated by the operating system as a single drive. Also known as an array. Array and unit are used interchangeably throughout this manual.
- Boldface is used for buttons, fields, and settings that appear on the screen.
Monospace font
