Coffee from Hawaii

Hawaii was the first (and only so far) place I have seen coffee growing with cherries on the trees.

Hawaiian Coffee is listed among the ten most expensive coffees in the world. Kona coffee is legendary, but it is said that coffee from Maui can be very good too and not quite as expensive.

Coffee Bean Corral sells green beans from Kona for $39 per pound. They say that Hawaii supplies only .04 percent of the worlds coffee supply. So, it is rare and in great demand.

Here are some places to order hawaiian coffee (that I have never used). We visited Bay View Farms many years ago while on the Big Island. It was great to see coffee trees happily growing and making coffee cherries!
