Pixel 6 camera

You will hear that the pixel 6 has a 48 megapixel camera. This is lying doubletalk. What you will see if you do raw capture is a 12 megapixel image. I see:
3056x4064
The sensor may indeed be 48 megapixels, but that resolution is entirely inaccessible. The phone "bins" groups of 4 pixels and that is that.

Ignoring the sneaky "specmanship", the Camera performs well. I used it at first with the default Camera app, but this does not allow raw capture. The get raw images you need to choose another Camera app, and there are many to choose from. I chose to use Adobe "lightroom mobile". I already am paying for a photography plan from Adobe, and my plan gives me 20G of cloud storage. Bouncing images through the Adobe cloud is by far the easiest way I have found to get images out of the phone.

One liability so far is that the Lightroom camera provides no way to switch lenses. It always uses the ultrawide lens.

The above page does not include the Adobe plan that I am on ($9.99 for 20G of cloud along with all the software).
