Bicycle Rack

I now have a vehicle with a trailer hitch. Up to now I have just been throwing my bike in the back of my truck, but a hitch mounted rack offers new possibilities.

My advisor Adrian recommends "1UP USA" as the source. I will need the fat tire spacer kit for my "Ice Cream Truck". He says I would only need the "super duty" if I get a heavy E-bike.

So, the thing for me is the 2 inch heavy duty double. It is $650 ($700 if you insist on black, which I don't).

The "heavy duty double" is reviewed in the above article. I rely on Adrians endorsement. Here is what he told me years ago:
Since you'll be buying an ICT, you may also be looking at a bike rack for hauling that monster around. I use a rack by a company called 1UP USA. They're all USA made with no plastic bits. All aluminum (but they still way a ton) and very durable. But not cheap. I've had mine for several years, use it several times a week and it still works perfectly and lives on the back of my FJ. You'll also need the fat tire spacer kit in addition to the basic rack as the standard rack will only take 3-4 inch tires and rims. The rack will take my skinny road bike or my ICT with no adjustments needed. You'll also have to order directly from them if you decide to get one of their racks as they don't have intermediaries.

And in 2023: -- I still recommend the 1up rack (with fat tire spacer kit if you're still riding the ICT). It's more expensive than some others but is definitely more durable. You don't need the super duty rack unless you're planning on carrying multiple e-bikes.
