NanoPi Fire3

Here you go, 8 cores for $35. I haven't even figured out what to do with 4 cores.

Since writing this, I bought several of these and got quite serious about them, see:

The cores are ARM A53. You get 1G of RAM and an SD card slot. And gigabit ethernet. Note that the A53 is a 64 bit core. And it is superscalar (it does dual issue on some instructions). It implements ARM v8-A, which has 31 general purpose 64 bit registers.

It looks like each processor gets a 32K I-cache and a 32K D-cache. (Note that with 8 cores, that is 512K if you total all those L1 caches). There is also a unified L2 cache 1MB in size.
