The ARM is currently my favorite processor (alongside the Espressif LX106). Who can argue with a 32 bit risc processor that you can get for as little as $2 !! Here are links to some boards I am currently working with. A big board is something that will run linux in a decent way and probably has ethernet and an A series ARM of some kind. A little board probably has some M-series ARM and perhaps USB or Wifi.
